Can God save us without our active cooperation?

Christ's atonement for our sin was done voluntarily and is a FREE GIFT to all mankind. We must, however, repent and follow Him in order to have access to His love, grace, mercy and forgiveness. HE provided the 'gift' - we have to commit and BECOME in order to open the 'gift' - if you get the picture! ; )
